Police in Kansas City are investigating a fatal shooting that took place between the stadiums that are home to the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals as an attempted murder-suicide.

A woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds, and a man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Sgt. Stacey Graves said. They were in their 40s and knew each other, but police did not elaborate on their relationship.

Titans backup running back Javon Ringer was wearing a special apparatus to draw an infection out of his left arm on Friday after spending four days in the hospital.
