N.C. State linebacker Terrell Manning will be out three weeks with a knee injury, Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien said Tuesday. North Carolina State says defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy will miss six weeks after breaking his foot. The school issued a statement Sunday night saying Sweezy had surgery to repair the fracture. In keeping with team policy, NC State did not say which foot is broken. Sweezy is a senior captain who had 13 tackles for losses and six sacks in 2010.
Sophomore running back Mustafa Greene will miss at least the first four games of the season because of a foot injury, Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien said. The biggest news coming out of NC State's spring practice Tuesday was a foot injury to sophomore running back Mustafa Greene. The Pack's leading rusher from last year will have surgery according to head coach Tom O'Brien. "Greene will have surgery sometime this week, he's got a foot injury," O'Brien confirmed.
